Colour

Colour is joyful, playful, bold.

I created a series of instinctive abstract drawings using the three primary colours. I didn't put much thought to them I just grabbed a paintbrush and started making marks on the paper. I soon realised the drawings consisted of big, prominent brushstrokes and a great number of dots or splashes. As I went on to create more of them, the brushstrokes took the place of the dots and vice versa. I then gathered some items that resembled the shapes I had created and put them together to create a colourful, bold and joyful neck piece.

Materials: Shisha hose, hose hook(spray painted), pom poms, copper (spray painted), magnets.
