Threads of existence

This piece is an interpretation of the journey of life and existence.

A big black circle to resemble the darkness we all come from and eventually travel towards. 

A piece of wood to incorporate nature in my design.

Bright, colourful threads to represent life's beauty and boldness.

Based on the belief that ‘life is hanging by a thread’, the use of this material symbolizes the fragility of existence.

Copper wire joins all the pieces together as a reminder of my admiration for metals and the art of jewellery.

All the materials used are non-precious and the majority of them are being re-purposed.
